Munna, the Barista

Mohamed Sabbir Hussain Munna, 25 yr old, from Bangladesh was always curious about different people and their cultures, his curiosity lead him to Maldives.

He says that he always wanted to experience the world out of Bangladesh and his natural people skills came handy in his work life. Munna says he has learned a lot through these years about serving and talking to customers.

When he first came to the Maldives, he found it hard to settle in and was overwhelmed by new people and new places. He says that Maldives today has evolved a lot since his arrival and is more accepting and kind to his people.

Munna is happy with his employer and how good he is being treated which he says is why it’s easy for him to learn new skills and he is grateful for the opportunities provided to him.

Although he doesn’t get to visit his family as often as he wants to due to the busy schedule, he enjoys his work and hopes to learn and expand his skills ,and he hopes to visit home as soon as he can.
