Ooredoo Maldives Holds Fun Run In Laamu Gan

Ooredoo Maldives organised its Fun Run on July 5th, 2024, on the picturesque southern island of Gan in Laamu Atoll.

More than 2000 participants of all ages, including children and the elderly, enthusiastically joined the event on Gan. Speaker of the Majlis, Abdul Raheem Abdulla, and his son, Minister of Tourism Ibrahim Faisal, both native to Laamu Atoll, were among the runners.

The event was highlighted by the participation of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) legend Jay Jay Okocha, currently visiting the Maldives as part of a series of events under Ooredoo Maldives’ partnership with PSG.

The 5km run kicked off from Mukurimagu jetty area in Gan, featuring interactive games at each kilometre mark. Participants were seen enjoying throwing colours, playing in soapy bubbles, and tackling inflatable obstacles placed along the route.

Known for its vibrant use of colours and engaging activities, the Ooredoo Fun Run has become a beloved annual event among Maldivians. The event has expanded to various islands including Hulhumale, Kulhudhuffushi, and now Gan, enriching community spirit across the Maldives.
