The newly developed bus stop near STELCO is the first bus stop in Maldives that uses 100% renewable energy sources. Situated on Boduthakurufaanu Magu, this bus stop was built by STELCO under the company’s ‘Greenlife Initiative’. The bus stop is airconditioned and offers immense convenience to commuters. While it displays bus routes, it also alerts passengers when the bus is nearing the stop. USB ports for phone charging are also installed at the bus stop.

Did you know? The Hulhumale’ running track is the first synthetic running track in the Maldives which has been developed according to international standards. The track is 400 meters long and consists of 8 lanes, designed in a way athletes will be able to use the track in all seasons

The Hulhumale’ Billiard House, located in the Sports Complex of the capital city’s suburban extension Hulhumale’. Inaugurated on 11th November 2020, it offers a recreational space for youth to engage in billiard sports.

The newly opened Kalhuvakaru Miskiy was inaugurated by President Ibrahim Solih on 17th November. Originally built in AD 1789, the mosque is a prime example of impeccable Maldivian stone carving and lacquer artistry. It was dismantled and relocated three times before being reassembled in its current location near Sultan Park.
