Lonuziyaarai Bageecha, the beautiful garden park next to Sinamale` Bridge is expected to open within this week. Before the bridge, the location was allocated for helicopter landing by the government. The park was created to make the city more social friendly and green.

The massive King Salman mosque, worth USD 24 million (MVR 370 millon), is the largest mosque in Maldives. The mosque, which was scheduled to open this year Ramadan, features a multi-purpose hall, a library, Centre for the Holy Quran, classrooms and meeting rooms.

Masjid Al-Sultan Hassan Izzudheen, Masjid Al-Sultan Mohamed Imaduddin and Masjid Al-Afeefudheen in Male’ city have been reopened after disinfection. The mosques were closed for disinfection after some individuals who recently visited the mosques tested positive for COVID-19.

Unlike Male’ and Hulhumale, Villimale’ only allows electric/battery vehicles, giving it an ambiance and noise-free environment that you just can’t get in Male’. The island is also the closest island to the Capital City, and is considered its fifth ward. It is home to Liquid Water Sports, one of the few hydro sports hubs in Maldives.
